The Global Mining Research Alliance is a collaborative research alliance between Canada, South Africa, Australia, in association with the USA.

CANMET Mining and Mineral Sciences Laboratories, a division of Natural Resources Canada, provides a broad range of mining research solutions to the minerals industry. CANMET-MMSL's areas of expertise include: advanced mining systems; mine-related health and safety; emissions and effluent management; mine closures and reclamation; and metals in the environment.

CSIR Miningtek is the premier technology and research organization in Africa committed to innovation, supporting sustainable development and economic growth and creating value for clients, partners and stakeholders.

CSIRO Exploration and Mining is the Australian leader in exploration and mining technology. CSIRO works with the exploration and mining industry to identify opportunities to deliver innovative solutions through outstanding science and engineering.

National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is the US Federal Agency responsible for conducting research and making recommendations for the prevention of work-related disease and mine safety. The Institute is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. NIOSH's participation in the GMRA is as an Associate Partner, in keeping with their mission to offer health and safety research in areas not serviced by the private sector.
